For metal barns or other metal buildings, you would need to add dirt to the low point or remove dirt from the high point to eliminate the slope. This is so your structure can be anchored securely. Repeat this step for the other three corners to be sure that your entire site is level.

You may want to install two (2) rods, one each at opposite corners of the building. Bond the steel frame directly to the ground rods using a solid #6 copper wire (or larger). And yes, ideally the rebar in the concrete should be bonded to the metal frame of the building. We recommend at the 4 corners.

All steel buildings need at least four anchor bolts (preferably more). A cement anchor or rebar anchor must be installed according to exact installation directions. Foundation anchor bolts should be installed perpendicular to the foundation surface (90 degrees).
