Overall, though, the ROG Ally feels like a quality upgrade over the Steam Deck, not a performance upgrade. It's faster and more efficient, but you'll mainly be running games with better visual quality at a higher resolution while getting similar performance and battery life.

Turning it on the ray tracing ultra preset limits performance to just 6 fps. But turn it to medium and you get a solid 28 fps at 1080p. It doesn't look as good, but if you want a mobile version of these games, you're going to have to live with a 30 fps experience – at least for now.
