Internal technologies are the same for both groups, so performance on the bike will be indistinguishable, but Force eTap AXS will weigh about 300g more than RED. MSRP will be about $1000 less for a Force eTap AXS group set, depending on the configuration selected.

When I bought my bike 2.75 years ago, D1 = rebadged Red crank and D2 = rebadged Force crank, both 12-speed. Yeah I'm with Oreo on this, from memory it's just a weight difference, nothing that will affect fit or performance as such.

Both SRAM RED and Force crank arms are carbon; RED has hollow carbon arms and direct mount chainrings. Force has carbon arms with direct mount chainrings. Rival has aluminum arms and spider with bolt on chainrings for 2x, and offer direct mount chainrings for 1x.
